Although March ended with a huge scare and the start of our longest hospital stay, the month overall was fantastic. We were able to have a fun day at The Witte Museum, along with several other little adventures.
An afternoon trip to the playground at Lake Kyle.
Playtime at our neighborhood park.
Water play in our backyard. This was the first time that Phoenix has been able to play in water (other than a carefully monitored bath time) in more than a year. Not pictured is his heavily wrapped torso covering all of his tubes, and me frantically trying to make sure that he doesn’t get splashed ;).
Lunch with my dad at Iron Horse Grill in New Braunfels.
More playtime at the park along with bluebonnet pictures.
We met our sweet friends Cassidy and Winslow for a fun lunch at Chuy’s.
Lots of playtime at home.
Then, on the last day of this awesome and active month, we ended up back in the hospital unexpectedly. This is the Facebook update that I posted:
We are thankful for all of the fun times that we had in March, and of course for our wonderful hospital staff that care for Phoenix during hard times.
