Our Wonderful Fall- 2016

I am so behind on documenting everything due to all that has been happening with Phoenix and his health lately.  We are well into Winter and are heading into the new year, but I wanted to be sure to share about all of the fun we had over the Fall.  We so enjoyed our Halloween,  visit to the Pumpkin Patch, and visit from family and here are some other fun times that we are thankful for:

Ben turned 34, and we celebrated at home with cake, gifts, and Shiloh made birthday signs that she hung all over the house.

We enjoyed time spent at home together.

We were thrilled that Phoenix was able to attend a birthday party of a dear friend’s daughter with us.  So nice to have him out of the house and enjoying some fun events with other children.  He kept saying “Friends!  Friends!” as he walked around and saw all of the other kids.

We were lucky enough to attend another great event put on by Jaxon’s FROG Foundation: a morning at Build-A-Bear.  We had a BLAST making a purple bear for Shiloh, and a red dragon for Phoenix.

We carved our pumpkin (“Jack”) for Halloween, and went trick-or-treating.

I took Shiloh and Phoenix to the grand opening celebration of a store in downtown Austin. We had so much fun together, and again I was so thankful that Phoenix was able to experience these kinds of activities with us.

And for the last day of what I consider “Fall”, we celebrated Thanksgiving.  We were in the hospital this year, but we made the most of it.  We were thankful to be together, thankful for the treatments that Phoenix was receiving, and thankful for the support that we have received this year.
