Looking Back: Christmas Eve 2015

December 24, 2015.

Christmas Eve, one of my favorite days of the year!  I love all of the excitement, the family time, the traditions.  We always spend Christmas Eve at home:  lounging in our pajamas, decorating cookies, watching Christmas movies, and taking an evening walk around the neighborhood to see the Christmas lights.  After the walk, Ben reads The Night Before Christmas, and then Shiloh and Phoenix get to open one gift.

Ben makes the sugar cookies from scratch, and then we all decorate with lots of icing and sprinkles!

This year, we also decided to make a gingerbread house- so much fun!

Lots of lounging around, playing, and watching Christmas movies!

Later, it was time to read The Night Before Christmas.

Then, Shiloh and Phoenix each chose one gift to open.

At the end of the day, we leave the cookies out for santa before bed!

What a great day that I will remember forever!
